Elk Mill Shopping Park is Now Protected by Pave-Saver Pavement Coating
Retail Park Gets Ready for Shopper’s Return
Back in 2016 Pave-Saver was chosen to protect a number of prestigious retail parks owned by British Land, one of the UKs leading commercial property companies, who boast an enviable portfolio of high profile retail locations throughout the UK. As part of an extensive retail park refurbishment programme, British Land specified Pave-Saver, our unique stone protector and pavement coating solution.
Pave-Saver was chosen as a key element of the works programme and retail site maintenance, spanning the British Land retail portfolio. Pave-Saver protects stone, paving and pavement surfaces from weathering and helps surfaces remain clean by repelling chewing gum, water, airborne dirt, acid rain, smog, industrial pollutants, oil and grease, dust and organic growth (lichens & moss).
As we did in 2016 and 2017, Go-Gum Limited worked alongside the main contractor, Hardscape, supplying the Pave-Saver stone protector and pavement coating solution to the British Land owned retail site near Oldham, during the refurbishment project.
The Elk Mill Shopping Park, located on the outskirts of Oldham, houses 24 retail units which are occupied by a mixture of homeware, leisure and high street retailers, including Asda Living, Next, Argos, Boots, Smyths Toys, DFS, JD Sports and Pets At Home. Approximately 4,200m2 of stone and paving are now protected with Pave-Saver Pavement Coating.
The Elk Mill site is a popular venue offering easy access from Oldham town centre and is adjacent to the junction of the A627(M) leading from the M62. This retail park boasts an impressive 1,100 parking spaces accommodating a footfall of approximately 6 million per year.
