Paving and Stone Protector adds Value to Retail Park Refurbishments
British Land Protect Retail Parks with Pave-Saver
British Land are one of the UKs leading commercial property companies, with a portfolio of high quality, high profile retail locations throughout the country. British Land take pride in their well managed, well kept environments and the company invest in sites which provide attractive spaces for people to work, shop and live. At the time of writing, they currently manage assets in excess of £19.1bn, which equates to 28 million square feet of floor space that has a 98% occupancy rate nationwide.
Staring in early 2016, whilst planning and preparing for a programme of site maintenance and refurbishment, British Land specified Pave-Saver, our unique stone protector and pavement protection treatment. Pave-Saver protects stone, paving and pavement surfaces from weathering and helps surfaces remain clean by repelling chewing gum, water, airborne dirt, acid rain, smog, industrial pollutants, oil and grease, dust and organic growth (lichens & moss).
Working alongside the stone supplier and main contractor, Hardscape, Go-Gum Limited supplied the Pave-Saver stone protector and pavement protection solution to several prestigious British Land retail sites, all undergoing refurbishment, some of which are listed below:

As part of the the major refurbishment programme, 1,965m2 of pavement walkways are now protected with the Pave-Saver stone protector and pavement protection treatment.
Wheatley Shopping Centre, Doncaster
The Wheatley Shopping Centre, located on the outskirts of Doncaster, is home to several high profile retailers including Next, M&S and TK Maxx. The site is home to 17 retail and leisure units and has undergone refurbishment to improve car parking and walkways. Commenting on these projects, Go-Gum Managing Director Rob Dixon said: “British Land are one of the UK’s best known commercial and retail property landlords. One of the many reasons they enjoy such a high occupancy rate is that they truly care about the appearance and environment in and around their portfolio of prestigious retail sites. Using Pave-Saver stone protector and pavement protection treatment will add longevity to their cleaning and maintenance cycle and also their on-going refurbishment programme, keeping retailers happy and encouraging many return visits from their customers.”
