Fashionably Late Notice

Deep Clean and Bubble Gum Removal at Short Notice

Located just off London’s famous retail mecca, Oxford Street, The Fashion Retail Academy (FRA) was the first National Skills Academy to be opened in the UK in September 2006, with the aim of educating and training people for the modern workplace. Since opening it’s doors six years ago, many FRA students have successfully developed the skills required for today’s fashion retail industry.

As part of their strategy to attract a new intake of students, the FRA planned an open day in July 2012, to be attended by VIP’s and prospective students alike. With only 10 hours notice, the Go-Gum Street Cleansing Team answered an anguished call from the FRA: “Can you deep clean and remove bubble gum from the Academy – by tomorrow?”

Despite the fashionably late notice, the Go-Gum Street Cleansing Team immediately swung into action completing a site survey in the few remaining hours of daylight. The Go-Gum Street Cleansing Team then worked through the night in order to complete the task of cleaning and removing the bubble gum blight.

Go-Gum’s managing director Rob Dixon commented: “Using our highly efficient Go-Gum Clean Machine, our Street Cleansing Team were able to safely and effectively remove the discarded bubble gum and deep clean the Fashion Retail Academy in time for the arrival of their VIP’s the following day. Our team worked tirelessly through the night but it was all worthwhile as the FRA were delighted with the result.”
