Bristol Magistrates Court Cleans Up

Amey PLC contract Go-Gum Limited to clean up Bristol Magistrates Court

After a previous successful collaboration between Amey PLC and Go-Gum Limited in November 2011, the two companies joined forces again in March 2012. The Go-Gum Street Cleansing Team were contracted by Amey PLC to undertake a deep clean, including chewing gum removal, at Bristol Magistrates Court in the centre of the city.

With the Magistrates Courts being a key focal point in the city centre, approximately 650m² of paving, in and around the courts was deep cleaned using the Go-Gum Clean Capture Machine. The advanced capture technology offered by the Clean Capture Machine meant that the work could be carried out with minimum disruption to the operation of the building, its staff and the general public.

Once the area had been deep cleaned, the Go-Gum Street Cleansing Team were then tasked with the application of the unique Pave-Saver Chewing Gum and Stain Repellent, also supplied by Go-Gum. Pave-Saver helps prevent pollutants, including chewing gum, from sticking to the protected areas of paving, making future cleaning operations even more efficient.

Managing Director of Go-Gum Rob Dixon commented: “Following the success of our work with Amey PLC at Heathrow Airport in November, we were delighted to be asked by them to improve the environment in and around Bristol Magistrates Court. Due to the hard work of the Go-Gum Street Cleansing Team, the area is now clean, free from chewing gum and protected from future chewing gum blight, thanks to our unique Pave-Saver Chewing Gum and Stain Repellent.”
