Pave-Saver Anti-Gum Pavement Protector for £1 Billion Banking HQ
Pave-Saver Protects Paving at Goldman Sachs Group’s New European HQ
The global investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs Group is currently putting the finishing touches to their new 1 billion pounds European headquarters in the City of London. Pave-Saver Anti-Gum Pavement Protector supplied by Go-Gum Limited, has been chosen to protect the new paving scheme which surrounds this prestigious new development.
The company, which provides services to corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net worth individuals, will be moving into their new London headquarters later in 2018. Their new office is a 300,000m² facility located on Farringdon Street, not far from their current base on Fleet Street. The new building consists of eight trading floors and a spectacular atrium at the centre of the structure which cuts through the entire building.
The new building sits on a sizeable stone plinth which has echoes of the historic british banking institutions of the 19th century. The facade is series of vertical glass shingles which hark back to the classic architectural motif of the Georgian bay window.
Goldman’s new offices will have about 80,000m² of internal office space and could ultimately accommodate over 9,500 workers. The building is divided along a north/south circulation corridor that is flanked by numerous public spaces, including an auditorium, employee lounge, gymnasium, child care facility, and meeting centre.
Commenting on the choice of Pave-Saver, Go-Gum Limited managing director Rob Dixon said: “With such a large scale and prestigious project as this, right at the heart of The City of London, Pave-Saver anti-gum pavement protector was the obvious choice to help protect the appearance and longevity of the hard landscaping. Once fully occupied, the daily footfall in and around the development will be tremendous but Pave-Saver can easily cope with this, offering excellent anti-gum pavement protection, stain protection and prolonged durability.”
