Street Cleaning and Pavement Protection Services in London
Aldgate, City of London Deep Clean and Surface Protection
In April 2016, the Go-Gum Street Cleaning Team were contracted to deep clean and apply Pave-Saver to an area of approximately 400m2 of high pedestrian foot traffic paving at Aldgate, in the City of London.
Aldgate is a high profile area within the City, being home to the Insurance industry with several international brokers and underwriters based there. Prominent buildings include the Lloyd’s Register building, 30 St Mary Axe (formerly the Swiss Re Building), the Willis Building and the London Metal Exchange. The Aldgate Tube Station offers easy access to the Circle and Metropolitan lines, making Aldgate a high traffic area for commuters too.
The deep cleaning operations were undertaken during the night to minimise disruption to local businesses and the tens of thousands of pedestrians and commuters passing through the area each day. A two-man Go-Gum Street Cleaning Team worked tirelessly through the night, firstly deep cleaning the 400m2 of paving, then applying our unique Pave-Saver protection product.
Pave-Saver protects stone and pavement surfaces from weathering and helps surfaces remain clean by inhibiting chewing gum blight, water, airborne dirt, acid rain, smog, industrial pollutants, oil and grease, dust and organic growth (lichens & moss). Rain water will remove most stains as the pollutant is prevented from sticking to the substrate, making this the ideal surface protection solution for the high traffic area around Aldgate.
Not only is the area of paving in Aldgate now clean, it’s also protected for years to come.
