Landmark Building Given Exceptional Protection Thanks To Pave-Saver Paving Protector

101 Moorgate – Exceptional Development Receives Exceptional Protection

Described as an ‘exceptional landmark building’ when completed, 101 Moorgate required an exceptional paving scheme to surround the site, in order to complete the project. That’s when The Go-Gum Group stepped in to deep clean and protect the approaches to the newly completed landmark.

Located opposite the Moorgate Elizabeth Line in the City of London, the new structure will be subject to high footfall and pedestrian traffic. The Moorgate paving scheme is part of the larger Moorgate Crossrail Station Links (MCSL) programme led by The City of London. This wider scheme focuses on pedestrian and cycling improvements around the new Elizabeth Line station, featuring wider pavements and new crossings. These improvement works were completed in phases with developer funding and TfL support for the enhanced public realm works near the new 101 Moorgate building.

In July 2025, Go-Gum Group’s subsidiary Surface Solve Ltd, completed a post construction deep clean of 566m2 of newly commissioned paving. This was followed by two applications of Pave-Saver paving protector. Our Street Cleaning Team ensured that all new paving areas adjacent to 101 Moorgate were thoroughly cleaned using a state-of-the-art Go-Gum Lanceman DiBO street cleaning machine. One operative performed the deep clean, safely and effortlessly removing the construction dirt and grime. A second operative followed on behind, applying our unique Pave-Saver paving protector.

Pave-Saver helps protect surfaces from the dirt, grime and discarded chewing gum, helping them remain clean by repelling water, airborne dirt, acid rain, smog, industrial pollutants, oil and grease, dust, and organic growth (lichens and moss).

Commenting on the project, Rob Dixon, Managing Director of the Go-Gum Group said: “We have a long history working on projects in The City of London and on many similar types of public realm schemes. We’re able to offer the flexibility to work during the week and at weekends, as we did for this project, minimising disruption to local residents and businesses. The new paving around 101 Moorgate is clean and protected further enhancing this exceptional landmark.”
