Gum Grafter Takes Off!
Stansted International Airport tackles the problem of Chewing Gum blight.
I.S.S Facilities Management, based at Stansted Airport, have purchased the Gum Grafter machine as a solution to the airports increasing chewing gum blight problem.
Stansted is a hub for a number of major European low-cost carriers, with 100's of destinations being served by the airline. Stansted is the third-busiest airport in the United Kingdom and the third-largest airport serving the London area after Heathrow and Gatwick; it is one of London's five international airports, along with Luton and London City.
The revolutionery Gum-Grafter machine is being used by operatives at Stansted to remove chewing gum from both internal and external areas of the airport.
Rob Dixon, Managing Director of Go-Gum Limited commented: "I.S.S Facilities at Stansted Airport needed to find a system that could remove chewing gum from both internal and external areas at London's 3rd airport. The Gum-Grafter machine incorporates a dual powered generator, therefore the machine can be operated using a 110v power supply for external use and 240v for internal operation. This facility gives I.S.S the flexibility they need to maintain a gum free environment for passengers and visitors to the airport."
